Trust Agents - Thoughts
Overall Trust Agents was a good read with lots of lessons and affirmations. If you read through it you’ll find some parts feel a little icky. The authors even acknowledge that the recommendations need to be used ethically. It reminded me of How to Win Friends and Influence People but for the digital age.

Being more on purpose about learning
My friend Dylan suggested I write down the things I agree with and disagree with after finishing each of the books I’m reading. He said “the truths you learned”, but I’m not sure I’m willing to give the authors that much credit. ;^) It’s a great suggestion and I’m going to do it starting Monday. Thanks Dylan!

Tonight I’m starting HERD: How to Change Mass behavior by Harnessing Our True Nature. I’ve heard amazing things about this book so I’m hoping to have my mind blown. The quote on the front cover says that this book by Mark Earls is like Malcolm Gladwell on Speed. Hope so!

Currently Reading: Understanding Digital Marketing
My initial take is this is a great book for marketers completely new to the online space. For those that have been working online for awhile some subjects will feel very 101. Other topics however will suddenly clear up misconceptions and answer questions you may not have felt comfortable to ask. One of the authors, Calvin Jones, has graciously accepted an interview request. I’ll post that...

The Third Tribe →
(I think this is where the new nGen Works is heading.) Over the last several years, online marketing has been split into two opposing teams. Two tribes, if you will. One tribe is called the Internet Marketers. They use aggressive hype and obnoxious tactics to fool people into believing there really is a “get rich quick” magic bullet. The other tribe is the Social...

Getting up to speed
As nGen Works is going through the transition of becoming a more holistic digital agency, I’m reading and capturing a tremendous amount of information. It seemed like a good plan to store it somewhere. It seemed like a better plan to share what I thought had value. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts.
